A grey cloud passed overhead the moment I saw this story, my hands are shaking and my stomach is turning.
Footage was released of an American soldier mocking – what looks to be like a small terrier mixed breed – puppy, “ohh cute puppy, what a cute puppy” then turns and hurls the puppy off a cliff. The camera men then says, “That’s mean, that’s mean.” End of clip.
There is some skepticism around whether this video is real…but certainly looks real to me!
I encourage to you click and be outraged, or just take my word for it.
Words can not describe the anger that is welling up inside of me this very moment.

Sick…I don’t understand the skepticism of the video? There are monsters all over the world that would do this…what makes this guy any different?

Yes, the video looks horribly real.
The story is still quite new and hopefully we will hear more about the action we can take soon! However, if you live in the US, I’ve heard that you should be notifying your congressman that this behaviour is unacceptable.

i hate to say it but what else do you expect??
The US thirves on war because it is very very profitable. this is a fact.
in order to participate in a war you need warriors.
a warrior is someone who can kill another person…repeatedly, preferrably for a reason.
in this day and age it can be simply for the reason that your superior said so. this warrior must have no value of human life to continue down that path.
if that warrior has no value on human life than how can you expect it to have value on that of an animal?
if you wish this to stop than you could take the easy road and swat the bee or you could fins the source of the problem…lack of moral values

You know, my first reaction to this article was one of emotional outrage. I have a soft spot for our canine friends, and the simple thought of an individual deliberately bounding and pitching a helpless puppy off a cliff really gets me.
And then I thought about it. Perhaps this is real, perhaps this individual should be thrown off the clif to suffer the same fate, and perhaps he really just is that evil…
Or perhaps, it’s all a gimmick.
I have to wonder if the whole thing wasn’t deliberately faked and then subsequently leaked.
Perhaps the marines staged the whole thing as a creative attempt to poise the media and the general populace against the military?
Think about it for a second. In a time where we’re in an unpopular war, with resources being driven further and further toward a goal that seems ever increasinly bleak (for lack of better words), what’s the best way to rally the people against the military? Tug on their heart strings. When people see things like that, it underscores the senselessness of having the military there. You begin to receive sentiment such as “All the military is doing over there is killing puppies”.. it really puts a large black eye on their operations.
Who knows..

im not a big fan of killing (unless its a video game) but i think it might actually be progress- if you compare that to the two or three decades of what saddam hussain did to the PEOPLE of that country i think one puppy is less cruel (a little?)

The puppy was already dead. They were just playing around and threw the carcass into a ravine. The only crime of which they’re guilty is killing time.
