Kent Avery may not be known nationally or even internationally, but the Vancouver locals sure know who he is.
In the afternoon, if you stroll down to Stanley Park you might just happen upon a very hippy-looking man with long hair and a hiker’s vest stacking rocks along the shores of the park. The tourists stand out like a sore thumb when they ask him, “what type of glue are you using?” That’s not glue honey…that is the fine art of modern day cairning.
It really is a site to see Kent in action so if you are in the area, stroll on down to Third Beach in the park to see his work and purchase photos of his monuments.
