With a confirmed death toll soaring above 23,000 with another 42,000 still missing, the government believes that Myanmar’s Cyclone Naris will have taken over 100,000 lives. As the first U.N. aid flights start to arrive in myanmar, I watch in sadness the damage that Mother Nature has created and feel the need to dedicate this post to the victims of this angry storm.
Built in 1850, the wooden Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery is built on stilts over Inle Lake. You can check out the building and some of its other attractions on the Lake here.
