When I first visited their MySpace page I was flooded with the sound of “Dust In The Wind” by Kansas…
I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment’s gone
All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind.
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do, crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind.
Visually, I see images of horribly abused dogs that have been rescued and are now safe, being taken care of and are allowing Mother Nature to heal them. But then I was shocked to find images of very big, muscle-shirted, shaved head, tattooed men cuddling with little white poodles and wiping tears from a cat’s eye and then I see RESCUE INK.
Who the hell are these guys?
They live in a world similar to the Hells Angels and might run into each other at hot rod shows, at the tattoo parlor, or at the local bar but that is not what brings them together. What really gets their temper flaring is seeing an innocent creature being abused and as a result they have joined forces to rescue and find homes for abandoned and abused animals.
They came from the streets, they know the streets and the truth be told these guys can really get the job done! The group is not a vigilante gang as it includes a firefighter, a retired cop and bodyguard. However, they use a very “in your face” approach to end animal abuse making no one immune from their wraith - owners, breeders, criminals and pet stores alike. They go after the gullet and they don’t use “paperwork” as an excuse.
Stories involving Rescue Ink are starting to capture the attention of the media: Prize-Winning Show Dogs Stolen, Again, Ruff Guys To the Rescue and Rescue Ink Report by WCBS TV. You can also check out and interview with them on Live with Mike and Juliette.
Just like I’m not a typical blonde mall-rat these guys aren’t living up to their stereotype of bikers - props to them. And let’s just be honest here, big muscular men using their strengths to save puppies and kittens is pretty damn sexy. *grin*
Somebody get these bad-boys a reality show!
“Go ahead, abuse animals… I DARE YOU”
Special holla out to JohannTheDog for spreading the word on these sexy bikers!

One assumes by default Rescue Geeks wouldn’t have quite the same impact.

This is fantastic. There is such a contrast between how they are perseived to be like and what they are helping to do. If anyone can get the job done,
it’ s these guys.
