‘Take On Me’ Is A Classic.

I was born in 1981 and although I was young during that era, some songs stand out in my mind as a “true” 80’s song. I was under the age of 9 and yet I remember the popularity of this song while I was playing with my imaginary friend The Wind (Shuddap! My Mom said I was special because I could talk to the wind!). We recently bought a new car that has XM satellite radio and my personal favorite channels are: The 40s, The 80s and The 90s (I’m a closet Oprah & Friends listener too…I love love Dr. Oz). As a result of the over 300 channels, I get a little ADD with switching the channel and often stay only long enough on an 80s song to remember it, recall the memories of the last time I heard it, laugh at it…and move on. But Take On Me is one of the few songs that I actually listen to - and did listen to today on my way to the dog park - from beginning to end (along with any Tiffany songs - I love her stuff, particular I Think We’re Alone Now…mostly because my big sister loved it). I guess I never really paid much attention to the real success of this song but it won 6 MTV awards in 1986. And who can forget Cry Litter Sister from the Lost Boys Soundtrack. Kiefer Sutherland was always a sexy Canadian-Brit piece to me growing up.

BTW - did you know that Tiffany is touring again and has a new CD? Check it out below…
